BEFORE

I've drooled over the Cinelli Supercorsa for years and never thought I'd actually have one but then one day I noticed that a friend had one for sale.  He was a collector and rebuilder of vintage Rocky Mountain mountain bikes, so I was surprised to see that he had a Cinelli for sale.  It turned out that he thought he'd like it but his heart was with MTBs.  I asked if he wanted to trade a couple Rocky Mountain MTBs for the Cinelli and he went for it.  I think he was happy with the trade and I know that I was happy.

AFTER

I had a Campagnolo Potenza 11 groupset in excellent condition that I had considered for this build but in the end, I decided that a Supercorsa needed a Super Record groupset so I stripped the SR off my Limongi, put the Potenza on the Limongi and put my SR 11 groupset on the Cinelli.  I'm very happy I did that.  It not only looks spectacular but it also kept the overall weight to 8.3 kg, which is pretty remarkable for a chromoly frame and fork.  The paint had quite a few scratches and scrapes in the paint on the frame and fork.  I touched them up with the genuine Rosso Red paint and an airbrush.  After that, I applied clearcoat over the resprayed areas and then cut and polished the entire frame and fork.  It almost looks like the frame had been entirely repainted.

This bike rides as good as it looks.
